Had a great time at Two Short Nights Film Festival

Had a great time at Two Short Nights Film Festival on Friday where my latest short film 'Croak' premiered - we won the audience choice award as well!

Thanks to @exeterphoenix and the cast and crew who made it happen - there will be another screening of the film and the others they commissioned in the near future 🎬

My filmmaking activities of 2022 largely revolved

My filmmaking activities of 2022 largely revolved around two projects - both very different but equally exciting!

The first half of the year was all about finishing our upbeat musical comedy @between_the_lines_film - we had a lovely cast/crew screening then toured the film around libraries in Devon. It’s currently on the film festival circuit and has won some awards (yay!) It will probably be released online sometime next year.

It was then straight onto making dark drama ‘Croak’ which was commissioned by @exeterphoenix and will premiere at the Two Short Nights film festival next year. Standing on top of a multi-storey car park in Paignton as we were prepping the first shots was a surreal place to find out the Queen had died…

Thanks to everyone involved in both projects who helped them get made - working with others to bring something to life is one of the great joys of filmmaking.

Amazing evening in Birmingham yesterday watching the greatest band of them all - @nightwish!

Delayed for two years due to the pandemic then just three weeks ago the lead singer had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour (prognosis good thankfully). Incredible effort from her.

Forth time seeing them live and they never disappoint! Here’s a lil video of ‘Dark Chest of Wonders’…described by the composer as a cross over between Walking in the Air and Carmina Burana.

I’m excited to share the casting call for ‘Croak’ which I’ll be directing soon! Commissioned by @exeterphoenix
